DESCRIPTION:The Research Center on Economics and Sustainability\,&nbsp\;ECO
 -SOS) studies the connection between sustainability and the following area
 s of interest: environmental and climate economics\, health economics\, re
 gional and urban economics\, education and labor market business and innov
 ation\, energy and natural resources\, industrial organization\, economic 
 policy\, game theory and environmental conflicts\, and transport and touri
 sm.\n\nWorkshop objectives\n\nThe 14th edition of the WIPE workshop has be
 en scheduled for February 5th-6th 2026\, organised by ECO-SOS in Reus\, at
  Universitat Rovira i Virgili.\n\nWIPE aims to be an academic meeting for 
 PhD students to interact with other young scholars\, postdoc\, and senior 
 researchers to exchange experiences\, research ideas\, ongoing projects\, 
 and future research activities in the fields of Industrial Organization an
 d Public Economics.\n\nWIPE will include about 18-20 presentations\, each 
 of them being discussed by a participant at the workshop\, will also host 
 a keynote lecture by Bettina Klaus (University of Lausanne\, Switzerland).
 \n\nFormer keynote speakers at WIPE have been: Philip McCann (Alliance Man
 chester Business School\, The University of Manchester)\, Andrés Carvajal
  (University of California)\, Inés Macho&nbsp\;(UAB and BSE)\, Mar Reguan
 t (Northwestern University)\, Natalia Fabra (UC3M)\, Kai Konrad (Max Planc
 k Institute)\, Mark Armstrong (University of Oxford)\, Alessandro Gavazza 
 (LSE)\, Luis Cabral (NYU)\, Jose Luis Moraga-Gonzalez (VU Amsterdam)\, Tom
 maso Valletti (Imperial College London)\, Xavier Vives (IESE)\, and Massim
 o Filippini (ETH Zürich).\n\n\n\nWIPE Awards During the 14th WIPE the Dep
 artment of Economics will award the young researcher presenting the best p
 aper of the workshop. Furthermore\, the Chair for the Promotion of Firm In
 novation will award the young researcher presenting the best paper on R&am
 p\;D and innovation. Each prize consists on a EUR 600 cash award.\n\nThe d
 ecision will be taken by a jury composed by members designed by the Depart
 ment of Economics and the Organizing Committee of the WIPE\, and the verdi
 ct will be announced during the closure of the workshop. Note that in exce
 ptional and duly justified cases\, the jury may award two papers\, and the
  prize will be divided equally.\n\nSubmission of papers\n\nFull papers sho
 uld be submitted electronically in PDF format to eco-sos@urv.cat by Novemb
 er 14th 2025. The front page of the document should include the title\, au
 thors\, affiliations\, contact details\, and a short abstract. The deadlin
 e for notification of accepted papers is December 5th 2025.\n\nRegistratio
 n fees\n\nAll presenters must be PhD students. Papers must widely fit in t
 he fields of Industrial Organization and Public Economics. There is a non-
 refundable fee of EUR 150 and attendants should cover their own travel exp
 enses. Fee covers coffee breaks\, a lunch and a gala dinner\, as well as f
 ull access of all activities of the workshop.\n\nMembers of Scientific Com
