DESCRIPTION:The Research Center on Economics and Sustainability\, ECO-SOS) 
 studies the connection between sustainability and the following areas of i
 nterest: environmental and climate economics\, health economics\, regional
  and urban economics\, education and labor market business and innovation\
 , energy and natural resources\, industrial organization\, economic policy
 \, game theory and environmental conflicts\, and transport and tourism.\n\
 nWorkshop objectives\n\nThe 14th edition of the WIPE workshop has been sch
 eduled for February 5th-6th 2026\, organised by ECO-SOS in Reus\, at Unive
 rsitat Rovira i Virgili.\n\nWIPE aims to be an academic meeting for PhD st
 udents to interact with other young scholars\, postdoc\, and senior resear
 chers to exchange experiences\, research ideas\, ongoing projects\, and fu
 ture research activities in the fields of Industrial Organization and Publ
 ic Economics.\n\nWIPE will include about 18-20 presentations\, each of the
 m being discussed by a participant at the workshop\, will also host a keyn
 ote lecture by Bettina Klaus (University of Lausanne\, Switzerland).\n\nFo
 rmer keynote speakers at WIPE have been: Philip McCann (Alliance Mancheste
 r Business School\, The University of Manchester)\, Andrés Carvajal (Univ
 ersity of California)\, Inés Macho (UAB and BSE)\, Mar Reguant (Northwest
 ern University)\, Natalia Fabra (UC3M)\, Kai Konrad (Max Planck Institute)
 \, Mark Armstrong (University of Oxford)\, Alessandro Gavazza (LSE)\, Luis
  Cabral (NYU)\, Jose Luis Moraga-Gonzalez (VU Amsterdam)\, Tommaso Vallett
 i (Imperial College London)\, Xavier Vives (IESE)\, and Massimo Filippini 
 (ETH Zürich).\n\n\n\nWIPE Awards During the 14th WIPE the Department of E
 conomics will award the young researcher presenting the best paper of the 
 workshop. Furthermore\, the Chair for the Promotion of Firm Innovation wil
 l award the young researcher presenting the best paper on R&amp\;D and inn
 ovation. Each prize consists on a EUR 600 cash award.\n\nThe decision will
  be taken by a jury composed by members designed by the Department of Econ
 omics and the Organizing Committee of the WIPE\, and the verdict will be a
 nnounced during the closure of the workshop. Note that in exceptional and 
 duly justified cases\, the jury may award two papers\, and the prize will 
 be divided equally.\n\nSubmission of papers\n\nFull papers should be submi
 tted electronically in PDF format to eco-sos@urv.cat by November 14th 2025
 . The front page of the document should include the title\, authors\, affi
 liations\, contact details\, and a short abstract. The deadline for notifi
 cation of accepted papers is December 5th 2025.\n\nRegistration fees\n\nAl
 l presenters must be PhD students. Papers must widely fit in the fields of
  Industrial Organization and Public Economics. There is a non-refundable f
 ee of EUR 150 and attendants should cover their own travel expenses. Fee c
 overs coffee breaks\, a lunch and a gala dinner\, as well as full access o
