The ECO-SOS Doctorals is a workshop where doctoral students from the Doctoral Program in Economics and Business present their research and a faculty member briefly discusses each paper presented.
This year, the ECO-SOS Doctorals will be held on the first day of the academic year, September 7. This change will allow our doctoral students to be offered three opportunities to present and discuss their work throughout the year: two "internal events" - the Doctorals in September and the mandatory training seminar on doctoral thesis supervision, organized by the Doctoral Program in May - and one "external event", the WIPE, which will take place in February.
This year, we have also introduced a small change in the structure of the Doctorals. In addition to the student presentations and debates, we will have one or two former students of the program as guest speakers. They will share their experiences both during their PhD and, above all, after they have finished: their entry into the job market, their first professional positions, their career paths, etc.
This edition will feature the participation of Guiomar Ibáñez, a 2015 graduate, and Eva Coll, a 2018 graduate.
The event will conclude with an informal lunch for presenters, debaters, speakers and other faculty members. We hope that this will give students the opportunity to discuss their work and projects in more depth with our guests and colleagues.
